Yankees Getting On A Roll
Derek Jeter had 4 hits, CC went 8 strong, and A-Rod hit a 3-run home run as the Yankees beat the Texas Rangers by a score of 7-4. It’s New York’s fourth straight win, their longest winning streak of this young season. Things may have been a little hard to watch early in the year, but the Yankees are starting to hit their stride as they took the final game against Minnesota, won both games against Boston, and today they beat a good Texas team rather routinely.
CC Warming Up: After two uncharacteristic starts to start the year, the Yankee ace is starting to pitch like we are you to seeing. He went 8 innings, and pounded the strike zone. He gave up 4 runs, but when your team is leading the entire game, you’re going to give up a few runs, because you are supposed to attack the zone. That is why CC’s ERA has been around 3 the last few years. It doesn’t mean he’s not pitching as well, it just means he is always playing with the lead.
A-Rod Dominant In Texas: From his playing days as a Ranger to now, A-Rod has always hit well in Arlington. His 3-run home run ended up being the game winner, and he also added 2 walks. Great to see A-Rod hitting with power, we need it to continue.
En Fuego: If you thought .382 was a great average for the 37 year old Derek Jeter. After going 4 for 5 tonight, the captain raised his average to .411.
Look Ahead: The Yankees get their first look at the free-agent phenom, Yu Darvish. For New York, it will be Hiroki Kuroda.

Another nice day at the ballpark for the Bombers, who sure are living up to their name. However, today Kuroda better have his mental game together and throw like he did during the home opener. Let’s also give kudos to my fav Curtis Granderson’s base hit that scored two runs.
Go Yankees!
